The Millennial are a theme people hear really a lot about, everyone says its own opinion in a positive way more or less. But how much do really people know about the Millennial?
Let’s begin with the definition. Mostly adults talk about them like that and they identify the youngsters who were born from 1980 to 2000: they are characterized by a major use and a major familiarity with communication, media and digital techniques.
At the Class Digital Week di Milano, Mr. Domenico Ioppolo have planned and moderated a panel dedicated right to us, the millennial. He invited me to represent this age bracket even if…actually…I was born in 2001, so I don’t even belong to the Millennial!
There university professors of public and private schools brought their very different versions about this generation.
There were Professor Digilio (University of Siena) and Professor Lucisano (University La Sapienza, Rome): they analyzed the youngsters they interface with by a quite negative way, saying that the young people don’t aim to find jobs satisfying them but simply finding a job, even humble, and for this reason they change thousand jobs a year.
On the contrary Elena Sacco, IED headmistress, said completely the opposite, bringing her own experience: she presented a generation of multiethnic young people really dying to do something and that want to find the job that mostly they love, basing on their own abilities and trying to always improving them to arrive where they want.
Personally, as an almost Millennial and since I know this generation, I have a similar idea to Elena’s: I identify myself a lot in her words because – even though our values are unlike the previous generations – our ambitions are very high. With very strong passions pushing us.My intervention as a #Millennial at Class Digital Week in #Milan Click To Tweet
I told about my story, I showed my ETH robot dancing and I tried to transmit energy and willingness to do.
Together with me there was another Millennial: Valerio Scarponi, 23 years old, a boy who was Able to enter the RDS Academy and won the only place available as radio speaker.
He is the clear demonstration that where there is a will, there’s a way. Determination, commitment and the willingness to do bring to reach downright aims and they are the fundamental element to reach any goal.#Millennials: where there is a will, there’s a way! #classdigitalweek #Milano #CDEW2017 Click To Tweet
So, to all the young people who read this post I recommend to look for the stories about who succeeded! – if you lack a bit of courage to measure yourselves with what you like most. If you don’t feel alone you’ll be more determined and convinced to dare and throw yourselves into a new adventure.
Guys, don’t make anyone stop you!!!
